We currently have multiple ongoing opportunities for Azure Solution Architect in ANZ in our OneCloud Practice allowing you to work flexibly in any of our office locations within Australia with options to also work from home. The Azure Architect is responsible for transforming our application architecture into a cloud native, scalable, resilient and agile architecture by partnering with our delivery organisations and building a cloud developer community. The Azure Architect stays abreast of the fast-moving cloud space and uses that knowledge to develop new cloud architecture patterns and recipes enabling developers to utilise cloud technologies and capabilities to deliver value to our clients

Role Responsibilities:

Identify applications in application portfolio that represent opportunities for modernisation to new cloud architectures by evaluating quality attributes, technology risk, capacity variability, and other factors prioritised by company goals and client needs.
Staying abreast of evolving developments in the cloud native space in order to adopt key practices and architectures to continuously improve our cloud native capabilities.
Creating reference implementations and executable architecture enabling our developer community through examples and reusable code bootstrapping their application and practices.
Create knowledge sharing opportunities and develop shared knowledge repository on cloud native architectures, designing and building best in class applications.
Coach, mentor and enable our developer community empowering them to develop cloud native skills and applications unlocking agility and creating opportunity for innovation.
Evaluate cloud technologies and services for fit and purpose of use in our application portfolio by evaluating application needs, cost, risk and ability to replace legacy technologies.
Provide cloud technology advocacy giving leadership and teams visibility into potential building blocks for use in our cloud applications.
Performance Engineering, Scalability Assessment, Design and Code review, workload and performance modelling, Resolving critical performance & scalability issues in the post-production system
Drive evaluation of different platforms, gather information on differences in cloud-native implementations, and conduct research on the platform behavior under different workloads
Integrate with non-cloud technologies and third-party vendor products/services
Review platforms used by the client and suggest improvements in automation, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices, security, and platform services

Skills and experience we are looking for:

4 Year College Degree (preferred in Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline) or Equivalent Experience.
10+ years’ related experience.
AZ303 & AZ304 Certified
Extensive PaaS/IaaS experience leveraging public cloud (Azure)
Cloud architecture experience
Reference Architecture creation experience
DevOps and Agile team experience
Deep understanding of Cloud and infrastructure components (server, storage, network, data, and applications) to deliver end-to-end Cloud infrastructure architectures and designs
Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
