What you will be doing

Do you love working out how technology can improve a client business?

This role will utilize your commercial, finance and sales skills to deliver excellence to DXC clients.

You will also use your market knowledge to help develop the very best solutions for your clients.

Other responsibilities include:

Develop the overall business solution, where technical solution and pricing meet, to differentiate DXC from the competition
Articulate the price to win strategy in a variety of settings including regional and corporate deal reviews
Guide teams in developing pricing and commercial propositions for bids and proposals
Develop competitive price targets and associated cost targets leveraging market trends, client preferences, competitive intelligence, client spend analysis, and knowledge of IT services
Drive pursuit teams towards technical solutions with underlying cost structures at appropriate margins to support price to win targets
Develop client facing deliverables, including responses to RFP’s, supporting the presentation of DXC’s commercial offer and directly participating in client negotiations.
Assist in developing and qualifying new opportunities, client business case development, and provide deal team thought leadership
Deliver support effectively from both virtual and onsite (DXC and client) environments

Who you will be working with?

You will be part of our Commercial Sell Finance. The Commercial Sell Finance team works closely with Sales, Finance, Legal and Solutioning teams to support profitable growth within the region driving key strategic and tactical decisions. Commercial Deal Analysts are trusted advisors within DXC.

The skills you will bring

You should have either an IT background with demonstrated business acumen, or financial background gained in the IT industry. Ideally, candidates should have been involved in winning outsourcing contracts or advising clients in the procurement of these contracts. Specific experience should include:

Demonstrated large deal management experience, preferably at a senior advisor level, to obtain the optimum commercial outcome for both the organisation and the client.
Experience building a detailed analysis of market/competitor pricing and capabilities to derive deal-specific price targets.
Experience in engaging with multiple stakeholder groups, including sales, finance, solutioning and commercial to achieve these targets
Experience in portfolio development, solution development, or transaction support (pricing, costing, finance)
A high comfort level in handling ambiguity or imperfect information, effectively coping with change.
Build credible relationships and manage interfaces with multiple DXC stakeholders, including the ability to influence decisions at a senior leadership level
Excellent communicator, both verbally and written, in a variety of environments with a demonstrated ability to adapt to a meeting’s changing social dynamics while maintaining a client centric view
Adept at handling a changing workload and priorities across individual work assignments, aligned team projects, and individually generated contributions to team’s capabilities. A desire to learn and to teach is critical
A lateral and creative thinker, with a consultative approach to delivering outcomes
Very Strong MS Excel skills with a high degree of comfort using, building, and tracing complex excel formulas
Participation in Bid/No Bid reviews and Win Strategy workshops
High level of proficiency with delivery & location strategies, staffing models, and productivity levers
