Job Description:

We have an opportunity for a Release/Devops Engineer to join our vibrant Wellington team. You'll service our local New Zealand customers maintaining and managing Releases in a fast-paced environment. You will manage the Release and Deploy activities for the client, through all phases of the project lifecycle. This role involves interaction with internal and customer stakeholders at all levels.

Each day brings fresh challenges, maintaining and managing version and configuration control providing a technical build service to the business by delivering software changes to environments in a controlled and recorded manner. Manage, control, merge and verify the software build environments and processes supporting the software development lifecycle, including maintenance and control of current configuration baselines and creation of deployment packages.

Responsibilities :

Build, release, deploy and configure software to support development processes (both Waterfall and Agile). Assess and implement new tools and processes necessary to improve the software development process and quality, safety, and security of the application.
Manage day-to-day tool infrastructure, including tools and systems, troubleshooting issues .
Participate as an active team member in all aspects of the software development life cycle.
Collaborate with the cross functional team on the various issues and delivery.
Document designs, processes, and procedures.

Skills Requirements:

Hands-on experience in creating build and release definitions in TFS, deploying the projects and setting up CI/CD.
Experience in building Azure devops pipelines.
Experience TFS, GIT, or SVN.
Experience of change control, release management, and continuous integration, together with an eye for detail.
Experience with build automation and software project management tools
It is preferable to have prior experience with Unix, one or more scripting languages, or both.
Administration of source control systems and branching policies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
