Senior Manager, Solution Architect – Insurance

DXC Technology is looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Solution Architect – Insurance to lead the design and delivery of large-scale insurance transformation initiatives. This role is responsible for defining end-to-end technology solutions, translating business requirements into scalable architectures, supporting business development activities, and ensuring successful delivery of modern insurance platforms and digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead solution architecture for insurance transformation, application modernization, and managed services engagements.

  • Define end-to-end solution designs covering applications, integration, data, cloud, security, and infrastructure components.

  • Engage with clients and business stakeholders to understand business objectives, requirements, and challenges.

  • Translate business needs into scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions.

  • Provide architectural leadership across application development, system integration, migration, modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.

  • Collaborate with programme managers, delivery teams, business analysts, architects, and technical leads to ensure successful implementation.

  • Conduct architecture reviews and ensure compliance with enterprise standards, security requirements, and governance frameworks.

  • Develop solution proposals, architecture roadmaps, effort estimates, and transition strategies.

  • Support pre-sales activities including RFP responses, workshops, presentations, and client solution discussions.

  • Provide guidance on cloud adoption, API-led integration, microservices, DevOps, and emerging technologies.

  • Identify architectural risks, dependencies, and constraints while recommending mitigation strategies.

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement across client engagements and delivery programmes.

  • Mentor architects, technical leads, and engineering teams to strengthen architecture capabilities across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, Technical Architect, or Architecture Lead within the Insurance industry, IT Services, or System Integrator environment.

  • Strong experience designing and delivering large-scale application development, modernization, and digital transformation programmes.

  • Experience working with insurance platforms, policy administration systems, claims management, underwriting, billing, or customer engagement solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, integration architecture, cloud technologies, and modern software engineering practices.

  • Experience working with geographically distributed delivery teams.

  • Excellent consulting, stakeholder management, and client-facing communication skills.

  • Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, SDLC, and modern delivery methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • 12+ years of IT experience, including significant experience in Solution Architecture or Architecture Leadership roles.

  • Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale solutions within the insurance sector, including Life, General, Health, or Group Insurance environments.

  • Strong understanding of insurance business processes including policy administration, claims, underwriting, billing, and customer servicing.

  • Experience with DXC Insurance platforms such as Integral, iPOS, Assure, or equivalent insurance solutions.

  • Expertise in solution architecture, application modernization, cloud transformation, and enterprise integration.

  • Strong knowledge of Java, .NET, APIs, Microservices, Middleware, Event-Driven Architecture, and modern application architectures.

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.

  • Experience supporting solution development, effort estimation, proposal creation, and pre-sales engagements.

  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance business objectives, technical strategy, and delivery outcomes.

  • Proven ability to influence business, technology, and executive stakeholders.

  • Experience managing complex delivery environments and multiple workstreams.

  • Strong leadership, mentoring, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.

  • TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect, SAFe Architect, PMP, or Scrum certifications are advantageous.
