Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead and manage a team of application support engineers responsible for maintaining and supporting critical insurance platforms and applications.

  • Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of production systems through proactive monitoring, incident management, and root cause analysis.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, infrastructure, product, and business stakeholders to resolve issues and support business operations.

  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance management to team members, supporting their professional growth and development.

  • Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes in alignment with ITIL best practices.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance application stability, reduce incidents, and improve support processes.

  • Lead technical troubleshooting and escalation management for complex production issues impacting insurance applications.

  • Manage resource planning, support coverage, and operational priorities to ensure timely resolution of service requests and incidents.

  • Partner with development teams to support application releases, deployments, and production readiness.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous improvement within the support organization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Typically 10+ years of relevant IT experience, with at least 4+ years in an application support leadership or management role.

  • Experience supporting enterprise applications within the insurance or financial services industry.

  • Strong knowledge of production support operations, incident management, and service management frameworks (ITIL).

  • Experience managing large-scale business-critical applications and production environments.

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and coordinating cross-functional initiatives.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.

Other Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting policy administration, claims, billing, or other insurance core systems is preferred.

  • Familiarity with cloud environments, monitoring tools, and enterprise application architectures is a plus.

  • ITIL certification or relevant operational certifications are a plus.

  • Advanced degree in a related field is considered an advantage.

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $118,700 – $220,500.
