At DXC, one of our platinum accounts has a position for a Business Change Consultant. This role will ensure that users are put at the heart of a change delivery, by understanding the likely impact on users and sources of resistance, and tailoring activities to accommodate this. The Business Change Consultant will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and will be highly organised, dynamic, outcome-oriented with excellent communication skills.

Role responsibilities:

  • Identify and articulate how proposed changes will affect ways of working, processes and roles.
  • Assess and report on business readiness, defining readiness criteria and contributing to go-live recommendations.
  • Develop and execute a set of actionable and targeted change management artefacts, including, stakeholder mapping, workforce transition and training plans, readiness checklists and change impact assessments.
  • Identify potential change risks, issues and anticipated points of resistance and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns. 
  • Ensure change artefacts are produced to defined standards and consistently applied across the programme.
  • Integrate change management activities within programme and project plans to ensure coordinated delivery.
  • Lead or contribute to the change management team, managing relationships with existing client change management counterparts in complex delivery environments and creating and managing necessary change agent networks.
  • Support the development and maturity of the change management community, including establishing best‑practice approaches, facilitating knowledge‑sharing, and helping to teach and upskill colleagues in core change management methods and tools.
  • Build senior sponsorship and advocacy for the change and drive creation and ownership of the case for change.
  • Support development of the overarching change narrative to align stakeholders with programme vision.
  • Understanding organizational context, culture and preferred ways of working for the organisations/areas impacted by a proposed change.
  • Managing and maintaining project communication channels such as forums, town halls, frequently asked questions as part of broader Business Change strategy
  • Provide mechanisms for hyper care and user support through change implementation.
  • Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization and proficiency of implemented changes, and ensure that user support functions are effectively transferred to business-as-usual ownership at the end of an initiative.
  • Support benefits definition and realisation planning by aligning change activities to measurable business outcomes.

  • Strong analytical discipline and attention to detail when producing change plans, readiness outputs and impact artefacts.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and shaping structure from emerging information.
  • Confidence in advocating business change best practice and supporting others to adopt structured methodologies.
  • Assess and report on business readiness, defining readiness criteria and contributing to go-live recommendations.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to create and maintain formal and informal networks.
  • Enthusiasm for collaboration and excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • A rational, objective, and detailed approach to business case developments.
  • Proficiency in handling multiple tasks simultaneously and switching between tasks quickly.
  • Expertise in recording information concisely and accurately.

Desirable Skills and Technologies:

  • Experience with large-scale organizational change effort, applying a range of Organisational Change Management methodologies (including Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter) as part of a client facing delivery team.
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies.
  • Experience defining behaviour change requirements and translating them into targeted adoption interventions.
  • Experience facilitating change impact and readiness workshops with SMEs, leaders, and affected user groups.
  • Experience contributing to business readiness assessment and defining readiness criteria.
  • Ability to develop and quality‑assure core business change artefacts aligned to programme standards.
  • Understanding of benefits realisation principles and how change activities support measurable outcomes.
  • Exposure to service design, operating model design or process optimisation disciplines.
  • Ability to work at all levels of an organisation to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  • Strong planning and facilitation skills, with demonstrable experience planning and executing client events such as workshops, town hall meetings, virtual office events.
  • Familiarity with Agile program/project management methods, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Exceptional communication skills and customer facing, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks against set deadlines.
  • APMG Change Management Practitioner qualification or equivalent change management professional experience.
