Role: Statutory Accountant
Location: Hybrid from Warsaw, Krakow, or Wroclaw
Controllership team for the Nordics and Eastern Europe region. Team of 46 professionals taking different roles (managing directors, financial controllers, supporting functions). The controllership team is responsible for ensuring the company’s financial integrity, accuracy, and compliance. Team plays a central role in delivering reliable financial information that supports internal decision‑making, external reporting, and regulatory obligations (e.g. audits, variances analysis, local accounting, US GAAP accounting)
Key Responsibilities:
- directing and overseeing DXC’s accounting
- understanding balance sheet and profit and loss statement of the company
- reporting for internal and external functions (corporate reports, audit)
- depending on the level of expertise: preparing/assisting in preparation & file company’s financial statement
- recording and administering various accounting transactions
- daily work using SAP, Excel, MS Office, and internal reporting tools
- cooperating with various internal teams
Requirements:
- Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience
- Advanced Excel, Microsoft tools, SAP is a plus
- Continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology
- Fluent in English (verbal and written). Any additional language is an asset but not a requirement.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven experience in finance, accounting, audit, and/or/and control functions
- Team player attitude is a must; critical thinking skills, proactive mindset, attention to detail
Nice to have:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA)
