Job Description:
- Create, test, update, and maintain operating system images for desktop and laptop endpoints Create weekly reports on number of issues, close rate, open issues, etc.
- Develop and troubleshoot complex task sequences in MECM to automate and streamline OS deployment, driver injection, application installation, and post-deployment configurations.
- Research, test, and maintain driver packages for multiple hardware models. Ensure seamless deployment across a diverse hardware inventory.
- Serve as the escalation point for OSD-related incidents. Diagnose and resolve deployment failures, imaging errors, driver conflicts, and task sequence issues. Document resolutions and update knowledge base articles.
- Follow ITIL best practices for change, release, and configuration management.
- Flexible to work in shift, Work from Office & to be ready to be on-call, whenever required.
- Develop and maintain thorough technical documentation, deployment guides, and operational procedures.
Skills required
- Hands-on experience in OS deployment using MECM/SCCM
- knowledge of Windows OS architecture, deployment options (WIM, PXE, etc.), and imaging processes
- Extensive knowledge of Multilingual User Interface (MUI) Language Packs for Windows OS.
- Experience with task sequences, driver management, and application packaging within MECM
- Effective communication and analytical skills required to convey ideas and concepts.
- Knowledge on Intune.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for imaging, networking, and endpoint configuration problems
- Experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams for image validation, pilot testing, and production rollouts.
- Exposure on basic scripting such as PowerShell
