Mainframe Computer Operator

Overview of duties

• Batch Processing and Scheduling: Running and scheduling batch jobs, ensuring tasks are completed according to production schedules.
• System Monitoring: Monitoring system performance, console messages, and responding to critical alarms to maintain system availability.
• Technical Support: Performing 1st level technical support, troubleshooting issues.
• System Maintenance: Assisting in system updates, patch management, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements.

• Scheduling – Control-M, CA7, IzWS (OPC), JCL
• Output – OMCS, Control-d, SDSF
• Automation – OPSMVS, Netview
• Other – JES2 / JES3

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to learn new technology
• Good understanding of ITIL processes
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Broad Knowledge of IT based products
• Self-motivating
• This is a 24x7x365 role
• Australian citizenship for clearances on our restricted accounts.
