Job Description:
We are looking for an Application Support / Oracle PL/SQL Developer to support and maintain business-critical applications.
The ideal candidate combines strong Application/Production Support experience with hands-on Oracle PL/SQL programming skills, with the ability to troubleshoot incidents, analyze application and database issues, and implement effective technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Application and Production Support for business-critical systems.
- Troubleshoot application incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code.
- Work with stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and complex SQL queries.
- Analyze issues involving applications, databases, interfaces, batch processes, and integrations.
- Perform application maintenance, bug fixes, testing, and production implementations.
- Work with business users and technical teams to understand and resolve application issues.
- Support application enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain technical documentation and support procedures.
- Participate in production deployments and post-production support when required.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in Application / Production Support.
- Hands-on experience programming with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience developing or maintaining stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and complex SQL queries.
- Experience troubleshooting application and database-related production issues.
- Experience performing incident analysis, root-cause analysis (RCA), and problem resolution.
- Good understanding of relational databases and application/database integrations.
- Intermediate English level or higher, with the ability to communicate in a professional environment.
Nice to Have
Experience in any of the following technologies or business areas will be considered a plus:
- Borland Delphi / Pascal.
- Visual Basic.
- Linux and shell scripting.
- Oracle Database Administration.
- .NET technologies.
- Experience supporting legacy applications.
- Knowledge of Mexican customs, import/export, or related business processes.
Ideal Profile
We are looking for a hands-on technical professional who is comfortable working in a production support environment while also performing development and application maintenance activities.
Strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL programming and Application Support will be prioritized. Experience with the additional technologies listed above is valuable but not required to be considered for the position.
