Senior ServiceNow Engineer

Job Description:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Drive and oversee the maintenance of a multi-tenant service management blueprint, ensuring alignment with operational and engineering standards.

  • Contribute to the execution of the Service Management Platforms strategy, participating in strategic discussions, technology assessments and organizational initiatives.

  • Resolve complex technical challenges by researching and proposing solutions, including debugging and troubleshooting production issues, while collaborating with internal teams.

  • Handle tickets from low to high priority and deliver timely technical support to resolve user issues and maintain system stability.

  • Comply with development standards while identifying and fixing software flaws, conducting regression testing to maintain system stability.

  • Manage data imports, exports, and transformations across Service Management Platforms while ensuring data integrity and consistency.

  • Create comprehensive technical documentation for configurations, customizations, and processes.

  • Participate in all Scrum ceremonies and work as part of an adaptive DevOps team to ensure effective collaboration and continuous improvement

  • Provide mentorship and promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in industry with a minimum of 2+ years of exposure and experience with any of the following platforms: Jira, ServiceNow, Remedy, Halo or other Service Management applications

  • Woking knowledge and experience in the following product areas is must: ITSM, ITOM, Integration Hub, Flow Designer

  • Woking knowledge of API (REST, GraphQL)

  • Woking knowledge of SQL, mySQL

  • Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices

  • Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies

  • Prior experience in a leadership or mentoring / couching capacity

  • Willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Strong programming and debugging skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Other Qualifications:

Certifications: ITIL v4 foundation, ServiceNow CSA, CAD

– Micro-Cert of at least one: Platform Analytics, Predictive Intelligence, Application Developer, Agile Development, Integration Hub, Flow Designer, ATF
