About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Life Insurance Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in U.S. life insurance products, along with expertise in requirements gathering, analysis, solution design, and testing. This role is responsible for ensuring business needs are fully understood and translated into effective system solutions that meet user requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document user requirements.
  • Responsible for analyzing requirements and designing, building, and testing software applications to meet those requirements.
  • Draft and maintain clear, concise Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), user stories, and process flows.
  • Work extensively with life and annuity system-generated and ad-hoc correspondence letters.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accurate translation of business needs into system solutions.
  • Support testing efforts by preparing/reviewing test cases and validating system outputs against requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to align stakeholders and ensure clarity of requirements.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on life insurance product rules, regulations, and processing.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ Years of experience serving as business analyst
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the U.S. life insurance domain.
  • Strong knowledge of US life insurance products, including:
    • Traditional Life
    • Annuities
    • Universal Life
    • Variable Universal Life
    • Interest-Sensitive Whole Life
  • Hands-on experience with life and annuity system correspondence (system-generated and ad-hoc letters).
  • Experience with requirement analysis, solution design, and system/application testing.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with life insurance administration platforms such as Cyberlife, wmA, Ingenium
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in the life insurance industry.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
  • LOMA Certifications
  • Basic knowledge of AI tools – Copilot, Amazon Quick, Claude
