Job Title: Playwright Automation Tester

Job Summary:

NatWest client has requested Playwright QA Automation tester as part of requirement. Modern digital products demand rapid delivery cycles, high stability, and consistent end‑to‑end quality across browsers and platforms. To achieve this, our QA strategy must rely on a robust, scalable, and developer‑friendly automation framework. Playwright has emerged as one of the industry’s leading tools for this purpose and adding a dedicated Playwright Automation Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Experienced in test automation and manual testing.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Playwright using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience in UI and API automation, including page object model implementation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (preferably GitLab).
• Knowledge of cross-browser testing, test reporting tools, and Agile methodologies.
• Good understanding of Git

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6–10 years of Test Automation expereince with minimum of 2 years in Playwright
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (primary languages for Playwright) and optionally Python or C#.
• Understanding of frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or TestNG for structuring tests.
• Experience integrating Playwright tests into pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Strong grasp of functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Documenting and reporting bugs clearly using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Must have:

• Playwright mastery
• Coding skills
• CI/CD integration
• Strong testing fundamentals

 Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with other automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Puppeteer to compare approaches and integrate hybrid frameworks.
• API testing skills using tools like Postman or REST Assured to extend coverage beyond UI.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and performance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative.
