Job Description:

DXC Technology is seeking a Software Engineer with experience in Java and/or C/C++ to join our application development team. You will contribute to the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of enterprise applications for global clients. The role requires strong technical capability, collaboration skills, and Japanese language proficiency (N3 or higher).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java or C/C++.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Debug and resolve software issues; ensure performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements.
  • Maintain code quality, organization, and version control best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement by exploring new technologies.

Job Requirements

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience with Java or C/C++.
  • Strong understanding of OOP and design patterns.
  • Experience with Git and build tools (CMake, Maven, Gradle).
  • Ability to understand English technical documents.
  • Japanese language proficiency – N3 or higher.

Nice to Have

  • Java frameworks: Spring, Hibernate, JSP/Servlets.
  • C++ frameworks: Qt, Boost.
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
  • Experience with CI/CD and automated testing.
  • Experience with Tomcat, JBoss, or WebSphere.
