Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Application Support Engineer to provide technical and operational support for business-critical applications within a manufacturing environment in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.
This is an onsite position requiring direct interaction with plant-floor operations, technical teams, and client stakeholders. Candidates must be based in Ciudad Juárez or able to work onsite at the location.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform onsite support activities, including troubleshooting, workshops, plant-floor project implementations, and client meetings.
- Monitor application performance, availability, and reliability.
- Manage incidents, service requests, and technical escalations.
- Perform initial triage, troubleshooting, and resolution of application issues.
- Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and third-party vendors for issue resolution and enhancements.
- Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and contribute to corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist with change and release management activities to ensure smooth production deployments.
- Maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and operational procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with established SLAs, KPIs, and operational metrics.
Required Technical Skills
- Microsoft SQL: 5+ years
- C# / VB.NET: 5+ years
- Oracle PL/SQL: 2+ years
- Borland Delphi: 2+ years
- Unix/Linux: 2+ years
- Java: 2+ years
Required Profile
- 5+ years of experience in Application Support, Production Support, or a similar technical role.
- Experience supporting business-critical applications, preferably within manufacturing environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with incident management, change management, releases, and production environments.
- Ability to interact directly with clients, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Availability to work onsite in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.
